It turns out a family in Tircoed was planning a big garden BBQ that weekend. Friends, neighbours, loads of food – the works. But just two days before, a load of tree branches came crashing down in their garden after some rough weather. Nothing major, thankfully – no one hurt, no damage to the house. Not even big enough to need a tree surgeon. But the garden was covered in snapped limbs, twigs, leaves, bark – the kind of mess that ruins a party setting.
